Many upgrades have been made to this boat to make it very fast and very reliable. All hardware not bolted to the deck is removed at the end of every season, washed, and stored indoors. The same goes for all running rigging and lifelines. The mast is also removed and stripped to the tube. Halyards messengered, standing rigging and spreaders removed and stored indoors. All upwind sails stored rolled during the season. All sails stored indoors during the off-season.
Short Bus has proved to be a very competitive boat in both light and heavy air. We have had great success since re-launching in 2008. We like to say that the Bus likes to punch above its weight class as we perform very well against the 30 footers (J/29, J/30, S2 9.1, Santana 30/30). Short Bus is truly race ready. The only thing I would add would be a new Fries Sail Design 155% genoa.
