The deck is almost done, we are not re bedding all the deck hardware. New windows were fabricated and installed:

I notice that you installed the same sort of portlight configuration that you did on Pterodactyl. With what did you frame the lexan sheet? I am replacing my portlights too. I have lexan sheet ready to go but if there is a better way let me know.

The photo of your deck looks surprisingly like what my deck look like right now - still lots of masking tape in place.

I made a rain cover for it the top edge, extending the coach top deck out about 1/2 inch. I set the acrylic in under that on black 5200. I also fabricated some clips from the acrylic to hold the windows in at the original holes from the inside. So far this is working real well. I'll post some more detail pics after we float the boat this weekend.

On Pterodactyl we had to cut the windows indo several pieces because of expansion. Behind the windows was painted black

Pterobyte is painted white behind the windows so I don't think there will be a heat problem but the 5200 may show in the sun, well see.

I'm thinking a 6 sec PHRF hit for those slick windows! Looks great, man!!! You guys doing SBRW?

We plan on SBRW and we are going to try to make Down the Bay but that is doubtful at this point. I have the barrier coat on the bottom but no slick VC Performance yet. Not smooth enough for that yet. The rudder was supposed to be back yesterday and still is not done yet. It is being turned down a bit to clean it up. Our schedule is to do a shake down this Sunday... we'll see.

Need a ride?

Hah! Yeah, actualy I do!! But this weekend (weather permitting) will be yet another one spent glueing a sportboat together...I think I'm getting close to running out of Elmer's soon. Masts have arrived from NZ, so we are psyched and highly motivated to get some boats in the water in 2009...front page article (pimping) on SA this afternoon!
