We set a new speed record on Motorboat!! this saturday on a race across lake Pontchartrain of 15.5 knots! We don't have wind instruments but a j-35 near us clocked wind speeds above 30 kts. We had the 1.5 oz chute up and full main. The cockpit drains got plugged up and we were taking water over the deck, filling the cockpit full of water (even caught a fish!) After that, we decided to drop the chute before we lost the rig. Heck of a ride!

Awesome! We hit 13 knots on an LPRC from N.O. to mandeville several years back. That series is always good for a lil action. Hopefully we are gonna spend more time over that way next season! Provided I get all these issues taken care of and get her back in the water!
