I'm trying to find out if anybody has installed a chainplate compression strut, similar to the olson 30 "Beam of destiny". I am considering putting one in, but am not really sure what the specs should be (mat'l, thickness, shape, mounting method). I thought I heard "Remedy" had one, and would like to find out more.

Check with Forte
http://www.forterts.com/.
He has made a few for the 32 that I know about. He is great to work with too. I don't have one but the underside of my cabin top is reinforced with a carbon channel running from chain plate to chain plate, combined with a turnbuckle to hold the deck down. I think it accomplishes the same thing.
