BIRW 2013

It is the 25th anniversary of BIRW.
If there is any year to go to BIRW, this is the year.
I will be bringing Velocitor to BIRW.

Can I have a show of hands on how many Evelyn 32-2s will be attending?
I know of at least three Evelyn's on the LIS, and what are there two on Narragansett?

Enough boats could mean our own start, but there should be plenty of J29 and Soverel 33s attending.

Good idea to get the ball rolling early!

I've done the last two Storm Trysail BIRWs and getting the boats to commit is not easy. If you look at the index page for the E322, I think 2009 was the last time there was more than one at BIRW, but Ben Hall raced "Bluto" in IRC b/c it was rated under the 90 PHRF cut-off (anything 90 or under was IRC only). XLR8 was the only E322 racing in PHRF that year.

Then in 2011, I think the only 32-2 was Scorpian...cannot remember how she did though.

Contact info on the map is not recent, so you may have to do some sleuthing! But if you start the ball rolling early enough, maybe some peeps will jump on board (excuse the mixed metaphor). BIRW is a blast.

XLR8 will be at BIRW in 2013. I expect Scorpion and another E32-2 as well. That makes 4. I have spoken to a few other owners. Who else is in ?

Be neat if more signed up. Does anyone know where "Night Fury" came from (what it was named prior to being "Night Fury"...I know it's from NJ.)? There's an O30 signed up, too....a few or four E 32-2s racing against a couple, 3, 5 Olsons would be slick!

BTW, I have to miss it this year, due to Bermuda, but if someone wants to take a few snaps ,whilst there, and post them here, have at it!
